Bain & Company Can someone recommend a good starting point on how to go around solving case interviews? What frameworks should I follow? I'm 4.5 months pregnant. I would take traveling on my period any day over the current level of discomfort during my weekly cross country commute, and I know it will only get worse. Enjoy your periods while you have them ladies, always remember what the alternative is haha
I just want to say it's really empowering to see an open conversation around this. Own your period!
Get as much crying out of the way on the plane and hope that no one from my team is on the same flight. Apply makeup after I land to compose myself and buy myself a fancy coffee.
Aleve, chocolate, looser outfits since I feel kinda bloated

Honestly the only thing that helps is taking a hot shower and curling up in your bed with Netflix. 😂
Taking magnesium daily and especially around pms/period days has been a game changer on both the physical and emotional front
Try heating pads for cramps! Works wonders and they have special "menstrual pads" that fit discretely under your clothes so you can wear up to 8 hours
You cry? Why?
Seconding the magnesium recommendation.
We could start posts- Mermaids:
HA HA- thank you! You're welcome! Believe it or not, but I actually have more. I wasn't kidding when I said that I have suffered from this for years and have tried almost everything. I was actually just thinking how accomplished I felt and how I wish that I could tell people- I was having horrible PMS (2 weeks out), heavy periods in which I lost so much blood that I would be so fatigued that I once had to pull over while driving because I felt so weak, and all of the other horrible things that go along with it for the better part of a year. For months, I have been doing all of the lifestyle changes and my last three periods have been so light that I only needed a purple light tampon on most days! I've pulled this off for three periods in a row. So much work. Anyways, back to actual work- good luck! Btw, if you're in the DC area, I see Dr. Rose at the Steinmetz Center. She is the one who has walked me through all of the supplements, etc...
I nearly passed out in the lavatory once... tunnel vision started closing in. I thought I was going to be a headline. I used BC to change my schedule so I'd always have the first day (the bad one) on a weekend.
K4, wow, sorry to hear that! Glad that BC was an option for you. Btw, not sure if you guys are seeing all of the articles on FB about BC and depression. Figured I'd share it with this group just in case: https://www.google.com/amp/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/37551855?client=safari
@d2- def going to try this
Good luck! It was actually recommended by my doctor. Btw, this is the brand that she recommended and the one that I use: https://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/magnesium-taurate-CR180.html?afd_number=27141&gclid=CMDU5dXQvc8CFcEmhgodLp4HDw it also also good for overall brain and heart health too.
Medical reasons- magnesium helps with cramps or all sorts, especially muscle ones. Magnesium is also good for anxiety so that is why it helps with the emotional part. Ok, not really medical, but half asleep and hopefully kind of helpful. I notice a huge difference.
Most of my anxiety is from being afraid I'm going to pass out during a client meeting ha. But thanks so much, ladies! Knew I can always count on my fish sistas for some sound advice!
Op- Maybe instead of fish, we should be called mermaids? 🐠 or sirens?
