I have joined Infosys 2 weeks back. They have mapped me to a certain project but everyday I am getting calls for the skill sets that don't match to my current skill set. They are telling me to attend client interview and giving me just 1 week of time to prepare for a totally new technology.
Does this commonly happen in Infosys? Infosys
Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?

Is it diversity when the minority becomes the majority? 🤔
The less white people the better? What the hell is wrong with you PWC1. MAGA
.... but why the apostrophes though
C5 thank you for calling me a 2D thinker when you kicked off this back and fourth with the most one-dimensional (and racist) statement, and then proceeded to tell me a whole lot of information that I already know but you just assumed I didn't. I have a news flash for you, people can get through school, be educated on these subjects, know all the same information as you, and actually have a different opinion. People disagreeing with you is not "ignorance".
You don't even know me, and you sure as hell don't know how I feel about a myriad of social issues.
@D1 “...as political science researchers have shown, people will object to being racist - you will experience blowback.”
Yeah, that blowback stems from “teaching” those people a lesson. It doesn’t come from a place of upholding values or virtues. It comes from believing what someone’s granpappy said about people of color being on welfare and Mexicans taking jobs, which have all been proven false time and time again. I would refrain from using the example of political backlash being an anti-thesis to being called a racist because the silence throughout this presidency has been deafening.
Pwc1 racist much?
So uh, nice apostrophe usage... Kinda undermines the diversity message
You mean the complete opposite of your point? You made a racist statement. I don't care that it was about the majority race. It was a racist statement and you said "isn't about them" when it precisely is about them in a negative context. Your comment in particular.
You don’t even know what racism is (and no, the dictionary definition isn’t fully correct). Continuing to prove my point.
The definition isn’t new. But whatever 🙄. Sure minorities oppress each other (usually based on physical proximity to “whiteness”- straighter hair, lighter skin, etc), but the current power can’t exist without some people acting against their own greater interests in order to preserve their position above another within it (ask any Trump voter lol).
This self righteousness is gag worthy
🍿
Diversity can mean a lot more than just race. Sad to see the tunnel vision on just one aspect of diversity.
D1, you learned that intersectionality is a thing. Hooray for joining the rest of us in the year 2018. 🙄
D5 and K2 is what happens when 2D thinkers participate in a 4D conversation. Before you talk about social issues that you have no idea about, at least do some research.
Do you not think that Accenture would hire more white people if they could? Clients love the whites
#apostropheabuse
And people at higher levels should be ACTIVELY fostering diverse teams if we want better ideas to come out of team work. Not going, "Oops how did we get a team that is more than just upper middle class white men? Weird, cool." Colorblindness fails because only white people have the privilege to be able to be colorblind-- everyone else is forced to remember as they confront situations pertaining to their skin color on the daily. So yes, it may be scary to realize you might be more privileged than you think and yes-- a lot of it IS accidental on your part, we know), but it is essential to realize that there is room to grow so that we can all work towards making this a better place.
And yes, white men CAN be oppressed by other means. No where in my statements did I say the opposite was true. A homeless white guy in a wheelchair can be oppressed by ablism and classism, while not being oppressed by racism or sexism. BOTH can happen at the same time.
Is this government work?
Diversity is good, being totally homogenous is not since inevitably the outsiders get the short end of the stick.
I've met many a sociologist who know so much that isn't so. It's amazing they've invented a new definition for racism. Or rather they've just limited it to institutional racism. So what you ate saying is minorities in America cannot be racist unless they're racist against other minorities or they're self loathing. Is that it?
