So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?
Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.
Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

I do the opposite. I’m North American counsel including Canada and I’m based in the U.S. If a lawyer is barred in the U.S. I don’t see why they couldn’t work for a U.S. company from Canada. The issue I’d see is tax law. Not sure of Canadian licensure requirements.
It seems more common for a US counsel work for their Canadian part. In reality, we work with US counsel all the time - eg. with a service provider in Canada but their headquarters in US, so does their legal team
If you live in Canada and provide legal services most law societies require that you file as a foreign legal consultant and in some cases that you obtain a limited call to the bar.
It is not difficult, but it is important to file.
Also if you are not a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, you need to obtain residence status. Canada does not have a simple “digital nomad” visa. Under CUSMA there is preference for US professionals.
Would that work for software engineers and legal support people as well? Asking for others, of course.
Where have you seen these? LinkedIn?
Yes and also from a few legal recruiters
Following “for a friend” 😏
I would take a HUGE pay cut to work remotely or from a non-US country
You mean the employer will pay less if you are from Canada for example?
Not common as a % of new openings
