Left Big 4 as a new Manager to take a Controller role. After 2 years, I think I know for sure that I don't enjoy this and think some sort of consulting would suit me better. Any suggestions or advice?

Other than trial and error and general experience, what have been your best resources for learning about industry rules and regulations and advising clients when they make requests outside of that?
All my clients have regulatory and legal experts in house, but I find that sometimes hierarchical politics and upper management can stop them from fully embracing that role. After watching the parts of Dopesick relating to the ad agency, I feel like it wouldn’t hurt to brush up on my knowledge… TIA!

Our company is considering hiring offshore technical resources. Can anyone recommend a company that can help us determine where it makes most sense, start up costs, process, legal/tax, timeline, etc.? We’re not sure where to start. We are a smaller company, probably looking to start with 5 to 15 resources, then potentially grow from there

I’m very interested in applying to government or energy consulting. I’ve heard good things about Deloitte GPS, PwC’s new sustainability practice, and guide house? Opinions on best places to apply for someone with a science/climate policy background?

Dilemma… I left my old company 4 months ago. Today, they’ve reached out to me to ask me to come back at a higher role, Operations Manager. I would’ve jumped on this opportunity if they asked me before. However, this role would be hybrid (2x in office) and come along with more responsibilities and hours than my current WFH role which is very chill. The pay is only 15% more than I currently make. Any thoughts?

I have two job offers in front of me: option A: join a team I’ve worked at before, where I have C-suite support, with one person in particular guiding and advocating for me, but fewer exit opportunities because this company operates in a niche. Option B: join a team where I have to prove myself from scratch, build networks and relationships, and potentially have better exit opportunities because it’s a globally and locally recognized brand name. Which would you choose? Location, comp are same.
