Girlfriend of 3 years cheated on me right before we were supposed to leave the state and move in together. We broke up about 4 months ago. I couldn’t demonize her, so I’m still struggling with processing it and idk what to do. I’ve been looking into therapy, but I can only do online which leaves me hesitant. I’ve had to step away from social media for my own mental sanity as I have a major issue with comparing myself to peers when it comes to life stages. (Single female, 34, never married, no male prospects, dog mom.) As a result, I feel like I’m doing a disservice to myself professionally as social media is a HUGE communication channel. Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). It has become quite the burden.

I received an offer from a company I met at a career fair. The salary was less than my other two offers but the location was where I wanted to be. Tried to negotiate, & they said they couldn’t negotiate higher. So I declined. I reached back out to the recruiter I met at the career fair and she said “ I thought an offer was made to you?” Told her I was interested in exploring other options. No response.
