Long story short, did 3 years audit (senior), 2 years corproate fp&a (senior). Currently trying to land a manager role in corproate fp&a but there’s no open positions at my company and been struggling to find a promotion through interviewing. I’ve made it to final rounds but they always reject me saying they went with someone with more experience or or managerial roles. There is an actg consolidation manager role open at my company. Should I just go back to accounting?

I want to leave my captive company. I don’t think I am ready to be totally on my own even with a cluster group etc. There is an option to be subcontractor in another independent company. I can write she said like 300 companies in many states, it would be helpful because I have many friends out of state. Is taking 25% of sales for giving CRM and companies too much? Seems like a lot. Still WFH? What are other chambers doing for task management? Our chambers has been keeping up with assignments, incoming emails needing judge’s eyes, and written orders, all through Microsoft Planner. We share PDFs through Sharepoint folders. Although we still email draft orders back and forth, the system seems to work well enough. We still aren’t operating at our previous capacity because it takes 10x the number of steps to get a motion heard or an order entered—90% of our workload.

Is it reasonable to ask for three weeks before joining a new company? I was thinking a two week notice and a week vacation to take a breath. What do you think ?

I'm 4 years into my career, currently I work at one of the largest public advisory firms writing research and taking advisory calls with CIOs/CFOs on strategy around IT Cost Optimization, IT/technology finance, benchmarking, budgeting etc. I enjoy the role but fear not being able to do much with this experience. I fear this due to the fact that I simply talk strategy and roadmaps with no technical experience of having ever done these activities myself.

If FP&A analyst II job posting pay was $36.66 hourly (no range) what would be an acceptable offer
and counter offer?

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
