Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Steelcase Gesture is what I have and like it a lot. I don’t know what your definition of “not bulky” is though. If you want streamline, I’d go with a Herman Miller Aeron if you can swing the cost, but check with your employer’s Disability Accomodation/Telework Accommodation policies as they might provide a chair for you.

Steelcase leap. 11 years and still in great shape.
Look for something that you can return in case it doesn’t fit...I got mine first on amazon which turned out to be a disaster (it made my back pain worse as I needed to fit my body to the chair not the other way around, and couldn’t dismantle, and had to pay so much extra just to return. And it was such a heavy chair..) and next time I got at Office Depot which had 2 wks return policy and didn’t need to be dismantled. Takes time to really feel the fit.
Herman Miller all the way
Or the Okamura Baron if you want the mesh but don’t want to pay the price of a Herman Miller. I find them slightly better looking and more comfortable too, not sure about durability yet.
