Usually starting from square one with vender select to designing the system, data conversion, and testing all the way. There is alot of project management involved as well across workstreams. Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .

I keep starting huge projects or hobbies and being intensely into it for about 10 days/2 weeks, after which I forget about it and the project just lays around my house for months until I get interested in it again or I toss it out/donate it. Mid-career at a Tier 2. Have two offers in front of me, very different trajectories:

McK: Lateral move with tenure, 1 yr from EM, generalist still
A&M: Step up to Manager, PEPI (PE performance improvement)

Which do you choose and why? (And leaving comp out of the equation, if you can - A&M is immediately higher, for now)

I do plan to continue in consulting for say another 3-5 years

I’ve received several take home assignments that clearly use real company data or give a good indication to a company’s future strategy. If I wanted to be petty, assuming I haven’t signed any NDA or fine print promising secrecy, could I share this information publicly without facing legal repercussions?

Obviously I know it’s ill advised and this is purely hypothetical, but just from a legal standpoint, would I get in trouble? Seems like an obvious way to get back at a company.
