I am interviewing with a company. Last week, one week after the interview, my hiring manager reached out to me with a couple of clarifying questions. We talked then I sent him recommendation letters from my previous employers. He said that I should have an answer from them this week whether I get an offer or not. I haven’t heard back since and yesterday I reached out to the recruiter to get some status updates. She has not responded. It’s already Friday. Is it a bad sign or am I overthinking?

Partners and MDs - a partner is trying to recruit me into a new practice they are building out. They have senior leadership support but still facing uphill political battle. It'll be a good opportunity for my path to partner if the new practice is a success. But I'm very much concerns about the downside risk. What would you suggest I consider before making the decision? 💥My FAANG PMs: Admitted to M7 (Booth, Columbia, Kellogg) but no scholarship money. End goal is PM at FAANG. Peers tell me to do a MS in Software Engineering or Data Science at an Ivy instead, claiming that route is cheaper & employs more into tech.
