Looking to move in-house. What should I expect for comp for someone with 3-4 years of experience working in RE matters? Open to moving but currently in TX, so any market input is greatly appreciated. TIA!

For what’s it worth, I’m in a second tier Midwest market, amlaw 100, and a 2019 grad colleague of mine just accepted an in house position in our same market at a reputable RE developer with a base of around $200k and a $20k bonus. I know the largest TX firms pay Cravath whereas the pay at largest firms in my market are way condensed. So I don’t know if that trend continues when it comes to in house. That’s all I got for you, my brother/sister in Christ.

amen brother - great information and very helpful

I was offered in house in nj for small developer in 140 range but it was 5 days in so it was a strong NOPE.

Hey fishes,

I got an offer from a company below is the compensation layout. Can you all tell me what will be the in-hand salary per month, will it be 49k?
I can see that EPF for employer is also deducted from my salary so this is not correct based on the EPF Act, is there some other thing which is not correct in the given Annexure?

Thank you!

Hi Everyone,
I have a query. Not sure if this is the right forum for it, but let me just ask it here.
I have completed my B.Tech. on 2020 and got a job in an MNC with a 3.8LPA, but due to COVID, the onboarding was delayed to Feb 2021. During this time, I had enrolled myself for a distance M.Tech. degree.
I recently joined a new company with a 10.1LPA a month back.
Just two weeks back, my M.Tech. degree is completed.
Should I have some increment in my new company as to my M.Tech. completion?

Have an offer from a dream company but I'll need to go in at a lower level. Knowing that I can bring a lot of value to the company (read- I know my worth), I negotiated with the hiring manager to have a level/comp review 6 months after employment. If I hit all my goals (ie, prove myself) within that time frame, I'll get a promotion and salary adjustment.
QUESTIONS:
Should this be in writing in the offer letter?
How detailed should it be? I assume I won't know what goals to set till I start...

And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. And no talks of a promotion / raise..

Does anyone ever question the possibility of going to law school?

I’m a 23yo female legal assistant working/living in Canada. I am completing my BA in hopes of continuing with law school after.
