I'll be honest you should think about other firms such as BDO, GT, and RSM etc. Apply to various firms in your area and see who gives you the best offer. BDO and PWC are the two firms that have permanent remote options, but depending on the area, you might be surprised which firm gives you the best offer.
Thank you both!
Happy to refer for PwC! Please DM me whenever you’re free.
Thank you!
Lmk if you need a referral
In IA and didn’t need a cert so you could join while you are still working towards cert
Salary wise you can expect upto 150k..but remote may be dicey and maybe truly dependent on the engagement team and client
This is helpful, thank you. I recognize at least the US is in a transitionary phase back to pre-COVID norms- would love to not have to physically relocate if possible but I totally get it
Wouldn’t you need a CPA?
No you don't. A CISA, CIA or CFE is fine for the role OP described
You would need to complete CISA at the minimum
You can get hired while it is still in progress, but need to finish it in less than 1 year
Let me know if you want a referral but will need a certification to be a manager.
Thank you!
It is really rough joining a firm at manager. The performance and business execution expectations for each firm are different and it is really hard to compete with those who at least did some time at a lower level at the same firm. In my experience, outcomes are not good for the new manager or the first few engagements they are staffed on. Just food for thought. Even one year at the lower level would be a huge boost.
Thanks for the feedback- I can definitely appreciate both sides and certainly don’t want to under deliver… a balance I’ll have to think about for sure.

Why do you want to go back? It’s going to be lower than what you are making now for sure
I wouldn’t be so sure… Anyways, perhaps one of the few but I enjoyed my time in Big 4 when I was on the assurance/audit side of thing and do enjoy the challenge and learning opps most of all
$130k to $160k is the range for Manager depending on market and COL. Sorry, but internal audit salaries are lower than other consulting service lines.
Manager in Australia here, $180k. I’ve been told I’m at the top of the salary band though
