Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Hi,
My last working day was 11th Nov and I submitted my asset to TCS location and got the Initial release letter as well. Later on 17th or 18th of Nov, I got a message from TCS that they have sent the Packing material through Vendor, please accept it.
I didn't accept the material and cancelled it when the delivery boy came to my location.
So, is it going to create any problem in getting reliving letter? Share your thought please

You have time to file emails? Right now most of the substantive conversation on a deal I’m working are on a thread titled “Drs Appointment”
Ah those emails without titles or title “can you get me a draft my Monday”

I don’t file emails. It’s 2022 I just search my inbox for whatever I am looking for. Way faster than navigating to a particular folder.

SA1- our firm uses matter numbers very religiously. Probably 99% of my emails include the firms matter no in the subject line. For anything else I can usually do targeted searches like: from me, to you, subject: X, etc. This all makes manually sorting by folders very redundant for my practice.
😱 my folders are just organized by C/M
Search function. Also I usually have a pretty good idea of who would have sent whatever I’m looking for.

You have a separate folder by party? So like if a merger agreement is being negotiated, you dig through different folders to see who said what? 😳

I just do that in my local share drive folder where I don’t have to clog up my outlook. Then in my local folder I have a “Incorporated” and “Not yet incorporated” sub folder so I can see what’s outstanding and what’s already been reviewed and incorporated. By party seems confusing to me since specialist comments can be revised by corporate partners and clients, but everyone has their own way!
No folders, just search my inbox. When there are certain emails I need (e.g. instructions, key details I don’t want to lose) I add that email to my notes in OneNote.
By matter, if it’s a huge deal that consumes my life for 6+ months I probably have subfolders for specific workstreams but only once these have become clear, eg transaction docs, due diligence, W&I, company formations, post closing etc, but then you have to be really clear and consistent with filing to make those helpfully searchable.
And those of you who don’t file, how do you even easily find what’s still outstanding? My inbox only shows emails I still need to action. As soon as I action it’s, it gets filed. The red flag feature only does so much cos you’d have to search for them amongst all the other emails otherwise.

Same, I zero out my inbox daily. Only things in my inbox are things that require attention.
By partner then by matter, and any further subfolders as needed
