Reminds me of my M&A hell project…collecting slides from 18 different workstreams every Wednesday and staying up until 2am making sure the titles ans straplines didnt “jump” when flipping slides. Was definitely a “I cant believe I am being paid $140k a year for this” moment🤣

It’s funny. I was in industry for almost 15 years before moving into consulting. My PowerPoints are uglier in comparison but I can tell the right story. I have seniors who went into consulting right out of college and while their decks look amazing, they can’t get to the f’n point quick enough. It’s painful watching the client slowly fall asleep during the presentation.

Sounds like y’all need to work at better consulting firms 😂

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time
