Many companies rely heavily on "metrics," so customer satisfaction is the main contributor. How often do you access kudos calls or positive reviews left by a customer?

I hate that it's based on customer reviews because many times customers don't leave reviews when they have positive experience only bad ones

I would say I get them pretty often. They key is to show concern for each customer

That sounds like a great plan. Focusing on reviews (and even asking for them) is likely a great way to ensure you receive more positive reviews.

For the most part the customers that I get are pleasant. I only get like one customer a day. I almost get happy when I get them so I can get them out the way

Not as much as I want to be honest. I really encourage customers to leave reviews when they are satisfied but they don't and it messes up my metrics

At my job, we see every single one. They're posted for everyone to see if they're particularly good. Personally, it helps make my job worth it to get those good reviews. It can make or break my day if I get a good review, particularly if the person takes the time to really write out how I've helped them, reduced stress, made their day better, and so forth.

My boss emails them to everyone each week! I love getting them from people. The positive ones always make my day and sometimes week depending on the situation.

Hello all. My company just went through an acquisition and the company did some restructuring of job titles. When they did this we were all advised the company would be making sure our jobs pay aligned with the national average.
My issue with this is my job title went from a Technical Support Supervisor to a Customer Success Team Lead. I have voiced my concerns with management but have been advised job titles are semantics. In my eyes this is a demotion, and will affect how much my job is worth.

Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Any lessons learned or success stories about career slowdowns?
