What SCA said. While there is SOME difficult math in certain areas, learning some basic data analytics and excel formulas will help. Why hurt my brain trying to math when a system can do it for me?
Spreadsheets do the math for you. Take courses to learn it or different statistical programs.
Pro
the math isn't difficult at all unless you are in certain areas, what's important is the logic behind it. everything is metric based , As long as you are able to rationalize decisions based on the numbers, you are fine.
The math in a long-term SCM career is not difficult, but it is important. You will need to be able to understand and work with numbers in order to make the most of your SCM career.
The most important math concepts in SCM are ratios, percentages, and basic algebra. These concepts can be learned relatively easily with a little bit of practice, so it is nothing you need to worry about
Having a basic understanding of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics is more than enough
It might be a challenge at first, but you'll be doing the same kind of math over and over again. As long as you're willing to spend some time understanding a few specific things, you'll be fine.
