Bain & Company MBB private equity ringfence 🐟 (PEG/PEPI/PIPE), how does the team manage burnouts for juniors (hired directly into the ringfenced team)? Do they get to work on something else outside the practice once a while?

Hey eveyone, what are things I can do to increase my odds of getting hired Google (Internship)?
2 weeks back I applied for the Business Internship for 2022.
Meanwhile I was trying to connect with team mates who are working in the specific location I applied through LinkedIn. I emailed a guy asked can I ask him some questions, he said yes he is happy to. But after I sent the questions no reply, it's been almost a week.
My Resume and LinkedIn is massively improved, thinking what else can I do?

Does anyone know how to stop getting notifications from being tagged like this? 😒

Nothing personal, OP! Just wish FB would allow me to tailor my notifications for this.
The tag feature blasts literally everyone at the company regardless of geography or function, and it’s just awful design.
Tbh I don’t think lifestyle is worse in RF at all, especially after the first 3/4 DDs where you master the process and know the team / ways of working. It is more intense but not more hours necessarily, so if you like to work under pressure (procrastinate if you don’t hv pressure/deadlines or just thrive on that environment) it might be the place for you. Also, at Bain we get 1 free day after each DD which is pretty nice
- Day off between DDs in a lot of offices
- More fancy dinners and treats
Tbh in general WLB and sustainability is just worse in the ringfence at a junior level. Pay is the same. You do it because you like the work, want the experience, or want to be an investor
Yes you can work on projects outside the ringfence or work on strategy work for portcos if you want to stay in the PE universe

To answer your question since I semi-smoked you:
Between DDs on PIPE, people often get 1-2 down days structurally free. Case intensity is higher compared to normal cases, but hours are honestly par or slightly elevated overall.
PIPE is treated as a staffing assignment for 3-6 months, like a regular case. Within that, you will do multiple DDs within the PIPE team. You are more than welcome to go elsewhere after your posting!
Bonuses are equivalent - bonus structure here is nominally not tied to practice area. That said, the team events and travel budgets are usually much more well-funded.
I have very limited personal experience on PIPE (I work in Public Sector / Industrial Goods), but have several friends in it.
