McKinsey is your 7.5% into 401k based on TC or base, and is there a cap?

do you have to contribute? or is it just 7.5% flat

Base. Cap at $22k ish. %age grows over time as well.

It's a flat 7.5% contribution regardless of employee contribution. I can't remember 100%, but I believe it's on TC. I don't think the cap would be relevant for 95% of the Firm.

Not at McK, but I presume the employer contribution would be statutorily capped at $58k/$64.5k (assuming no employee contribution; capped at $38.5k/$45k assuming the employee maxes their contribution) whether based off of TC or base.

Hey fishes. I have been offered Management Consultant role with CTC break up in terms of JB, RB, fixed and variable. So is the fixed amount my gross salary without any other deduction except TDS, or will the organisation contribution to PF be also deducted from the fixed component? Also, will claimable components like LTA, mobile bill reimbursement etc. be in addition to this fixed component or will they be included in it?

Hi Friends,

Could some recommend some good pgs around fidelity investments (manyata tech park). I will be starting the office from Dec.

I was approached to work in EY Melbourne. I was promised for a visa sponsorship. I have several questions:
- What is the work culture there? Is it fast paced or a bit relaxed?
- What’s the salary range for experienced consultant?
- Do they have a health insurance?

Guys, need advice

Getting married in few months. Planning to buy a gated flat based on home loan. My CTC is 30 and my wife’s 13 LPA. What is the home loan we should go for? In case we go for high end apartments, what is the avg sal in those apartments, as even after emi, you should be able to afford the life style living these flats. Also, parents are willing to contribute in down payment to redce the EMI, is it a good idea taking help from parents as I will loose my respect in front of wife.

I stopped contributing to my 401K for the last three months in order to pay off credit card debt. I am 28 and have about 68K in my 401K. Was this a smart decision? I want to get out of debt as quickly as possible and I have no student loans or car debt.
