Thoughts on Employee Stock Purchase Plans with a 10% discount? Is it worth it given the lock up period and market volatility?

What is the lock up period?

like

lock-up period is really first period of offering. After that, you can immediately sell and get the same liquidity...continue to repeat that cycle.
There is close to zero volatility in ESPP. If you sell immediately after shares are in your account - none of the volatility matters

like

Depends on the company, the lockout period, and your long term outlook on the company.

Hi fishes,
I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.

In ELSS mutual the total we can save save tax is 1.5lakh. Do we need to invest yearly 1.5 lakh yearly to save tax? I am planning to have a Sip of 5000 monthly for 3 years. So total money invested in 3 years will be around 60000 * 3 = 180000.
Will that be sufficient to save tax or Do I need to have a sip of 12000 per month to save tax.

Any advice appreciated.
