I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..

Honestly, imho big firm consulting is a terrible career and terrible way to live your life. Internal politics are brutal, clients don’t care how much of yourself you give to them, etc. stay where you are. Google is a legendary company!

Honestly in the current market everyone is shedding senior folks. So unless you come as a line partner with a proven BoB it would be tough.

What is L8 TC at goog and what’s the potential at L9?
That’s what’s wild to me. L8, can earn up to 1.5M a year depending on role/PA, MD 2M. Also, as an L8/L9 you are entirely empowered and expected to set direction for your org/PA and depending on the PA, overseeing hundreds of millions to a billion in impact.
I'd go the other way around..can we swap? :)
