As busy as you are, once you feel better health-wise, make time to get out. Prioritize you. I left a job that overworked me, didn’t care for my well-being, and made me miserable and it took me way too long to figure out that it’s simply not ok and not worth it.
I left a job like that recently. I was asked on numerous occasions to cancel my PTOs to help out with work and it was mon-sun job. Never 9-5. 9-9 or longer. They continued summer half day Fridays but don't know what the point is if no one is able to have half day. Ever. At my new job now, I do better work, I'm in a great mood, almost daily, excited to do my job, I'm healthy, I'm happy, my partner is happy, my dog is happy, my plants are happy. I magically stopped complaining about everything (I used to complain a ton), I'm more grateful, appreciative. What I'm trying to say is. Get out. Not worth it. Unless your making work that is changing people's lives for the better (I think that might motivate me to stay and have a Convo with my manager about work load and adjusting salary) otherwise, um! No. And manager with zero empathy? No thx
Nope. Quit.
Quit immediately. The person making you work is pathetic. Respect yourself.
My POV this person doesn’t value you. They will run you into the ground until you leave.
