I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?
Meta technical solutions consultant interview prep - can someone let me know if they have gone through the technical rounds for Technical Solutions Consultant role? Can you share what to prepare for since it’s not a data science type of role so most likely not hard level MySQL questions. Any specific types of queries that I should learn? Thanks!

Ever thought about moving? I work for a company with a few hundred engineers in a MCOL state and my wife baby and I are pretty comfortable with only me working, even with contributing to retirement, paying a mortgage, and being pretty early in my career.
Not sure what your spouse does for Meta, but that honestly doesn’t sound very worth it to me. I work around 45-55 hours a week, and could probably get away with less. I think I’m pretty above average where I live, but if you’re working for Meta then you’re also pretty above average.
Sounds like this is a case where it makes sense for you to stay home. Surely your spouse makes enough at Meta to provide for the whole family.
OP you pay $10k/mo on housing!? The Bay Area is such a joke
Wait are you a solo parent, or do you have a spouse?
I have heard that FAANG roles are very dog-eat-dog and high workload but that’s only secondhand; I hope some folks with firsthand experience can weigh in here!
Oh I see… I’m sorry, that sounds miserable ☹️
That sounds really tough. I’ve heard about the long hours at Meta, and it can definitely take a toll on family life. Have you looked into flexible work options or possibly reducing hours temporarily? Sometimes talking to your spouse about shifting responsibilities or getting outside support can help balance things.
That is what you sign up for in FAANG. Honestly I am surprised that it is a surprise to anyone. Startups are the same. Investment banking is the same. They don't pay you the big bucks for 40 hours a week
What does that dumb company do even do these days?
