I am 6 mos in and trying to leave ASAP.
I’m so sorry, D 1. I would definitely recommend returning to tech like you mentioned earlier.
Deloitte always downgrades folks, I hate it. I hope this doesn’t affect your prospects in tech.
I heard Google and Amazon have slowed their hiring, so be aware that your return to tech industry may take longer than you would like.
Hang in there, OP! And in the meantime, try to negotiate better comp at Deloitte.

I’d say a year.

0 time if the exit is really good. Unless you work somewhere for 2 years, you're going to need a good answer to why leave so soon, regardless of if it is big 4 or something else.
I’m nearing a year and a half here but I’ve been trying to leave 6 months in. If I can find something then I’ll jump at it first thing
I don’t like this vertical I was placed in because it doesn’t reflect my interests and I’m at a B4 trying to get into tech
Most headhunters start hunting you around 3years as it’s a reliable length to prove you are good enough to work there. From experience, it’s about right. So it depends what you want to show 🤷♀️
As long as the terms of your sign on bonus. 😆
Id say a year to two years, but if you have a “better” opportunity lined up then leave whenever
Pro
It depends. If you have a much better offer, take it. If you’re tracking well, you can stay beyond 1 year. If you’re not progressing or learning anything, leave before it’s too late
1 year looks good. But consider this: if you already had a great offer in hand, why stay?
Why and where?
I'd say at least 1 promotion, after that it's really up to you.

There is no minimum. Stay till you get the experience, like what you do and have a decent work life balance. Give bad experiences/ projects a second chance.

If you made manager… a year. Use it to network into where you want to be
