Hello All, I have been selected in the interview at NTT DATA and also submitted documents as requested by Recruiting HR. However , it's been a 10 days after docs submission but haven't received any call from HR for salary negotiation. On email follow up with HR, he said he is on it and will come back to me soon for further process. Any views.NTT DATA

S& has a better brand and I've generally seen better exit opps from S& folks than KPMG so its definitely a move up which will help. That being said, with a Top 10 MBA, I would try for MBB considering it's much more possible with your MBA.
You're right. Definitely an uphill battle but if you have someone to refer you for the interview, then it's fair game. I've seen 2 folks go to BCG/Mck from KPMG via referral post top 10 MBA.
If you went to a top 10 MBA why did you go to KPMG strategy? That’s a strange move, but also is S&. Go to MBB with a T10 MBA
Lol only about 60-90 students go to MBB out of the ~1000 students. It’s reasonable and worth it for ppl in the T10 to go to other strategy practices. Well maybe not Strategy& but you get my point.
I don’t think you can really compare S& to KPMG Strategy. Completely different work, prestige, etc. OP - If you have the ability to switch, please come over. You’ll be in a much better spot.
Getting a PE Exit from any consulting firm is hard. Really hard. Bain has the best chance. But still hard.
Pretty sure because it's new practice. I heard most higher ups are poached from MBBs and such. Idk how long it takes to establish a brand though.
Maybe better to take a shot at MBB. But dont most PE hire out of analyst group?? So 2-3 years out of undergrad. Is it also a possibility to network with PE shops while you do PE DD work? Idk if that is common or frowned upon or not...
I’d say it’s worth the switch for the higher comp. People here saying its easy to switch to MBB just because you have a top MBA don’t know what they’re talking about. Plus it’s not all that easy to switch to S& or other tier 2s - it’s not Deloitte/Accenture.
