Hi Deloitte fishes,
I received my pre-hire survey Oct 21(Fri) but my bank KYC is not verified yet. I just submitted my bank KYC in EPFO portal. Now my query is do I need to wait till my KYC is verified in EPF portal? Or can I submit the survey with attaching a note: As Submitted KYC and pending verification.
P. S: As there are Diwali holidays,I am worry about my KYC verification will get delayed. And could anyone tell within how manys days or any deadline to submit the Pre-hire Survey.

I'm currently licensed to practice in California and have been for 5 years. It has not been fulfilling whatsoever, financially or professionally. Really in the last year it has been weighing on me more and I am out on disability. I am dreading the idea of going back to the firm I am at and continuing to litigate. But what else can I do? Not working is making me more depressed... I need to work to give myself some purpose, some drive, but I am seriously questioning whether this is the field for or if I should try to transition elsewhere?
Where would one even begin to look for new jobs? I have always worked with recruiters or applied on linkedin searching for attorney associate etc.
I did get my real estate salesperson license last year having passed the exam but I would hardly say I am ready to walk into a broker's office and say hey I am ready to close on some deals with you lets get started!
My father is a doctor and god bless him, he really is trying his hardest to be supportive, geuinely suggested going back and attending nursing school! Not hating on nurses but the idea of more education for more licensing exams is just comical.
The last and only thing I could think of is starting my own firm. The only connection I have to bring in clients is in Trusts and Estates/Wills through 3-5 financial advisor cousins/friends/family etc. but I have 0 experience in the field because I could never find an entry level position at any firm in the practice area. Again, my confidence isn't through the ceiling on that idea either but I'm just brainstorming.
Sorry for the length of the post but I truly would appreciate advice as I sit here off work too anxious and depressed to get back to work but also running out of time to stew (not going to be extended past 1 year).
Look into the former lawyer podcast - great insight on the narrow minded thinking lawyers inherit as far as career opportunities available to them. Also hosts a lot of guests who have left the law or found other more non traditional roles in the legal field meaning not an associate/partner position and are much happier.
I didn’t meant to imply that you’re narrow minded, just that as lawyers when we go through law school we’re lead to believe there’s only a few kinds of roles we “should” want - associate at a big firm, associate at a small firm, clerkship, public defender/prosecutor. When in reality there are a lot of roles out there where having a JD is useful. The podcast is called Former Lawyer Podcast, I listen to it on Spotify - it’s probably available on any service that has podcasts.
