My boyfriend is saying he wants to have the remaining $20k balance paid off by the end of next year, and he makes like $130k and I want to support him on his plan, but that's a lot of money for us to lose that we've had in our pocket. Any ideas of how to manage this sudden resolution?

It’s not ur money. It’s not your place because you are not his wife.

Agreed, if he's just your boyfriend its not your money and he can do whatever he wants with it. Sounds a bit whiny to me!

Will that affect your shared expenses? I definitely think if he's willing to be frugal and thinks he can handle it, he should go for it. But not if it's going to put more of a burden on you.

Understood with what everyone is saying here. My problem is that we live together and are very much partners, even though we are not legally married. So it will affect our shared life quite a bit. Sounds like consensus might be that I should just suck it up? Just worried I'm going to have come through on his rent etc at some point and I don't really have a lot of wiggle room myself.

PMM, if that happens he’s making the same error you did in the OP. They’re his loans to do with as he wishes but his half of the expenses do not become your problem due to his wishes.

This might be the wrong place to ask but is getting a car worth it?

I think it’ll somewhat improve QOL but with parking, insurance, gas and financing costs I’m not sure spending almost 1K/month is a good idea at 22.

The other problem is that used cars are so damn expensive right now so I can’t just buy a used mx5 for 5-10K

Hi everyone,

Hope all is well. Any suggestions for open roles in Procurement. I have 5 years of experience and looking for a permanent remote role.

I’m appearing for data scientist interview and curious to know more about the interview format. It’s an hour long call and have to code in Google Doc.
Did anyone recently appear for similar role? What was the interview format like? Was it algo focused or mostly about statistics?

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?

I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness.
