Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? My H1B is set to expire in Aug 2022, my employer is filing my extension, assuming I will get it till aug 2025 and I need to go to stamping.Parent is sick, needs to undergo a surgery. I want to go to India, to be with her during this time. My question here is if I go for visa stamping will I get stamping till Aug 2022 or aug 2025?
If I get stamping till Aug 2025, Can I come back before aug 2022 without any issue?
If I get stamping till Aug 2022, will there be any issues at port of entry

So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb? Essentially trading tax for the option of actually using my money.

Bought a 300k end unit townhouse in Atlanta, 14 months ago with 10% down (3.65% interest rate). Prices in subdivision have been increasing over that period. This month 2 non-end units listed for 330k and sold right away. The opposite end unit on my 5 unit building was listed for 340k and is currently pending. What is the best way to stop paying PMI since since I should be at 20% equity?

Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.
