I work for a hospital system that is know for low balling transfer employees. I started out as a medical assistant. I have worked as a data technician (42,348 per year) for the last two years while working on my master’s degree in health informatics. I have a high chance of a new position as a application analyst. What would the pay range for this type of position? It is an intermediate position. I am also in the south which are lower wages.

Hi all, so I do graphic, illustration, and video as an in house designer. I have no degrees or certificate and got the job based on a portfolio. On the daily im processing photos, illustrating, product packaging, 30sec product commercials, and other various design related jobs. I make roughly 42k before taxes and currently going on my second year at my company they offer a full health and dental that doesn’t come out of my check and a 401k.
Am I doing too much for 22/hr or too little?

What does your retirement budget look like? Assuming no debt. What is your expected basic minimum expenditures (core life)? And what are you budgeting for fun and luxury? My basic is around 10k a month for taxes and food and transport and utilities. Luxury and fun is another ten. Big expense in basic is property tax. Big expenditure in fun is travel. I think my basic budget is too high and I could bring it down and be very happy in a smaller home and less restaurants.
