Asked manager for a meeting about a promotion. He said "next week," it's been 2. Do I ask again? This is such bullshit that creatives get raised to management position without managing skills.
Just scolded by my client because I wasn’t thinking “large enough” for a certain paid social campaign. They want their campaign to go viral and that they want to target “everybody”. I want to retire.
Salary of £70K, is it reasonable to spend £1550 on rent in north London zone 1? It’s such a great place and checks all my boxes, just want to see if others have done the same and were still able to save

Thoughts in continuing to rent in a small town just outside the city and staying remote vs moving to a bigger city and paying significantly more? Make 100k, paying 1k/mo in rent, maxing 401k, roth IRA, HSA, and extra in brokerage. No plans of buying a house (want to keep renting for flexibility as I invest the rest but obv can change down the line).
Worth it to slow down FIRE path for a bit for longer term career growth and accelerate it in a year or 2? Anyone else go through this thinking?
Starting to just want a government 8-4:30 and a pension type job, any of those at least $100k? Anyone else ever feel that way? Maybe Federal services Consultants have a different view.
10 years at my company as an Account Manager. OTE is $115K base and $150K Variable.....265K OTE. Although haven't received an increase in 5 plus years. Generous benefits and stocks.
Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. Is anyone else concerned about how to raise the expectations and students’ self-discipline back to pre-enabling levels?
Has anyone seen any structures for real estate companies where they let their employees invest in the properties they own. Sort of like a stock plan type compensation thing.
I am buying term insurance from policygenius. For people who have done this. How do you choose the insurance company? AIG is giving me the lowest quote but I am reading online that they have 3x the complains compared to other insurers. TIA!
When can we expect communication regarding promotion in mid year, how will we get that communication via mail or RL or coach?
What is the best health insurance plan for a person in 30s and for parents in mid 50s?
Please let me know if anyone has idea about it or availed it.
Any nurses here transition completely out of healthcare and into tech and hit $150k with their first tech job? I have my associate in nursing with 10 years of hospital experience. Im trying to figure out if I should get a bachelors in computer science or just get a certificate in my preferred area of computer science. I want tech companies to take me seriously and want to crack $150k with my first job. My nursing job now pays 130k. What area of tech would even pay that much as a newbie?
When leaving KPMG for another company, what are the payouts, if any? (Unused vacation days, etc) And is a 401k rollover required, or can you stay with Merrill Lynch?
Feeling underpaid for the work I’m producing and taking on. I recognize agencies notoriously under pay lower level employees, but I feel at this point I’m worth so much more. For context I have 2.5 years experience, in an AC role. To my knowledge we still aren’t passing out promotion and pay raises (ya know, COVID and all). Any advice? Do I start shopping around for a new spot?
I’m a new user on this platform. A lot of the features need me to be having some likes. Can I please get some like’s. Would be appreciated.

For those who have worked or working for Appian corp, what are the top benefits? Do they provide a cell phone for new hires?
My whole life I’ve had shorter-term education goals that kept me motivated. Graduate from university in 4 years, graduate from law school, make law review, etc. Now that I’m practicing, I can’t think of any short-term goals to keep me motivated. Obviously by shorter-term I mean a few years. I want to make partner someday, but that’s not for 7+ years (realistically. Please let me know if I’m wrong). Can you ladies tell me what your shorter-term goals are that keep you motivated?
Good people, I hope you are all faring well over there. Wanted to share this ‘Working From Home Best Practices Doc’—hope y’all find it useful. Sending positive vibes. Stay safe.
For 5 years I basically had 10 frequent clients. Now those clients have brought me an average of two each, and now I have 30 constant clients and a bunch of clientele in my agency. It's true that serious, responsible, and consistent work pays off, let's say that I no longer worry about selling, practically, the houses that I show sell themselves.
Thoughts on jumping from Workday to ServiceNow? I have had a few recruiters reach and mention former Workday consultants jumping over seamlessly. What are some pros/cons to consider? I’m pretty happy in the Workday ecosystem but any insight would be appreciated.
Which side wins the trade? Justin Jefferson, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion for Mark Andrews, Derrick Henry, & Alvin Kamara?
Hi everyone. I got job offers at both GSK and Astrazeneca in the UK. Both are senior scientist positions. The one at GSK is on method development of biologics and the one in AZ is on formulation development of biologics. The base salary+bonus of AZ is about 15% higher than GSK.
Is there anyone worked for both companies? Which company would you recommend?
Newly joined in Birlasoft, I could not find IFSC code in personal details and other details are missing in myworld.
Please advise what should I do ? Should I reach out to Hr Or raise a service now request?
I'm currently a B2B telecom sales executive at AT&T and made $109k last year, and I'm looking to change jobs. Could anyone connect me with a good recruiter for technical sales professionals?
I have a General Engineering degree & some coding experience, so I'm interested in staying with technical sales but would prefer something with a longer sales cycle. I've heard good things about sales in the industrial sector. I'm also only looking for opportunities where I could continue to work remotely.
Going to be based out of nyc soon flying to Midwest mostly. What loyalty programs are best for getting perks that benefit spouse?

The only 5 people who have EVER asked me if I am a CFP... BTW I'm not... have been Millennials and gen-xers looking to start DCAing $250 a month into a Roth. Not 1 person of significant wealth. LOL
Worked in Financial Services and Wealth Management for 12 years. CFP working in the banking channel and completing my MBA within a few months with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. Really can’t take the stress and compliance involved with being an Advisor anymore I’m losing hair everyday. Any suggestions where to go?
I was invited to an event hosted by an insurance group. One of the three principals is a cfp but is not registered as a rr or iar. Does the cfp board let this happen?
