My exit strategy has been to turn my side hustle into a full-time business. Now, I'm worried the economy won't be in my favor. Is this a terrible time to launch a new business or am I overthinking it?

No one can predict the future. If you're confident, I say go for it.

This. Assuming you’re being smart and have done the analysis, go for it. You can’t live your life (to a certain extent) bound by what-ifs.

What is your side hustle?

I would keep doing both ( assume you are working with Citi still) use the stability of working at citi , and continue the side hustle . I am looking for a side hustle myself that compliments my stable Citi role .

No matter how stable or unstable the economy is, starting a new business will always be a risk. You have to have an insane amount of faith in order for it to have a chance at working

Is it possible to keep working at your current job and save up for a few months cushion while you get your business started?

There’s opportunity at all times even in recession, I say be aware of what’s going on and use it to your advantage as you start your own business 🎉

Hello Everyone,

I am in search of a Project Manager role. I have about 4 + years experience managing projects and in consulting.

I am about concluding the google certificate in project management, and one unique think I bring into any team is my strategic thinking and ability to solve problems in record time.

I am based in Canada and a remote role will be great.

I anticipate your responses and recommendations thank you very much.

Graduating with PhD in comp neuro next year. I just did a week long internship at MBB to check out consulting, which I loved but ultimately will not be accepting my offer for life considerations (my wife also works at MBB and we have young children). It was amazing getting a sense of what the work actually comprises.

Are there any similar day-long or week-long internship programs for data science? Would love to test it out for a little bit to see what I like/dislike.

Ping me for referrals on the below opening in amdocsAmdocs

I’m a SPED Resource/Inclusion Teacher which I really love. I really like working with the Gen Ed teachers maybe because my background is Gen Ed. I’m noticing many SPED team members go straight to the principal if they have an issue with a Gen Ed teacher instead of going to the teacher directly. Is this the norm now? What happened to SPED working with Gen Ed? Maybe I’m old school, but this seems so wrong to me. Thoughts?

I have little visibility for my hard work and it’s frustrating nobody sees my contributions as “mine”. They ask her questions she then ask me. Bc we’re remote nobody sees what’s happening and I’m demotivated.

Additional Posts in Finance Exit Opportunities

Coming out of UG, I accepted my first job b/c I thought I had to based on status of other interviews. I ended up quitting after 8 weeks in favor of an opportunity I perceived to be better, but took longer to get. 7 months into the new gig, I am NOT happy. Considering this is technically my second job out of school, how long should I stick around before trying to leave without looking like a total scumbag opportunist?

Left my first job after just shy of two years because I was bored. Have been at my current job for about half a year and it’s a great resume builder but an absolute horror story (long hours, unreasonable clients, tons of weekend work that’s not worth the pay). If I left in a few months, at the 10 month mark, would that significantly hurt my chances of getting a strong exit opportunity?
