Seeking advice / recommendations: Hello everyone, I'm trying to get into real estate investing. Some of the books I've read have talked about buying multi-unit properties and utilizing investors to get the necessary capital. Does anyone have experience in getting investors? How do you identify investors who may be interested? Are there any sites where you can invest in or post real estate investment opportunities? Thank you in advance

Recommendations for best real estate investment books/podcasts/blogs. Primarily interested in rental properties
For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Trying to understand all the steps, traps, and how to find if it’s a good investment.
Best investment book recommendations?
Best book about investing for beginners? Looking to share some with my prospects and clients
What are some of the best books you’ve read about people and investing? Such as dealing with people (business psychology almost) and then investing (real estate more specifically)! I am looking for books that give practical advice, not just big picture theory and motivation.

Hiring question: candidates today are requiring very high salaries and we are getting to a point where the average candidate for a particular role is asking for more than I make. I just got promoted and got a 9% increase, which I’m not terribly happy with. Now that I am trying to backfill with this new level of salary and I want to use this opportunity to go back to my boss to get an bigger increase. Any advice or thoughts?
Just accepted a job at big 4, I have 1 YOE experience as a data scientist, plan is to stay for 2 years then go to MBB or masters…thoughts?
Parental leave question. In the US, assuming full pay, what are the birthing and non-birthing parent leave durations for McKinsey, Bain, BCG, and others?
Without naming your country (or home state if you’re from ‘Murica), what is your country/home state famous for? I‘ll go first: Beer, Fries, Waffles
EY High Deductible Health Plan vs Open Access Select (don’t have EY bowl access yet) I just started at the firm and am trying to pick my healthcare. I don’t really ever go to the Dr so I’m thinking of getting the High Deductible plan. My question is, what does it mean that it’s not a “national network (Is this a national network?: No)” but it’s “network coverage: see any licensed doctor”? Those seem to contradict. Also HSA vs FSA, as a healthy 26yo, which is right for me (High D only has HSA)
Tim Castree (GroupM NA CEO) announced the creation of GroupM's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board today via email. Out of 12, only 4 are women and 1 is POC.
Some days I love my job. Other days I want to quit and start my own business (work from home), but I have no talents or a big enough customer base to do that 🙃
PwC interview last Wed. Recruiters been giving me status updates/feedback(like 1 day after). Haven’t heard from her since the last one tho. Reached out and got an out of office msg(on Mon) Thoughts?

Can anyone speak on the diversity at Alverez & Marsal? Thinking about joining but it seems very homogeneous which I guess isn't too different from other consulting firms.
Curious to know which airline frequent flyer programs fellow LAX travelers have status with. I’ll go first: Delta Platinum, Alaska MVP Gold 75K, and United Silver here
Has anyone successfully negotiated to be paid the MBA salary as a non-mba employee? Considering we do the same exact work…
Does Nuna Rava ever go on sale? I regret buying uppa baby mesa which my baby grew out of in 9 months (very few usage during COVID) 💸 I didn’t know that I could have gotten nuna rava with infant insert.
I am thinking about buying my first apartment. How do you know when it's the right time to buy?
I was interviewing for McKinsey in the defense and security industry (clearance needed) and thought I did absolutely great on the first business case. The second, however, was with a principal that had very different political views from my own (I’d done some research on her LinkedIn). The business case felt different from any others that I had studied and felt like an attempt to get political without directly doing so. I was quickly rejected following the 2nd interview. Should I try reapplying?
Can I just get this out? I’m 3 months into my first post-grad adult job and I’ve just received an offer for a much better position that’s in-house, a significant (like >10k) salary bump, and at a better agency. I realize now that I don’t like client services but I know how much my team is just managing to tread water. I kinda feel like 💩 but this is just one of those cliche “career-defining” offers that would be so stupid to pass up…
Am I wrong? SIL (don’t get along) is having baby 2. She’s an “artist” read: stay at home mom, lived at home with parents all throughout college and postgrad until she married basically everything, provided by her husband who works a MODEST middle class job at a car dealership. Do I owe anything but a card when I show up to the “baby sprinkle”? Why are you entitled to my hard earned income when you chose not to provide anything but time to your own household?
While this may be bad for companies, it opens doors for those looking for work and advancement for the rest of us. Obviously people wouldn’t retire without adequate savings and so I think this is amazing news for us all. Right? Thoughts please. 🤔
Hello everyone, I am currently applying for entry level marketing positions in Europe and UK. Can anyone please provide me a referral at Unilever?
