My firm was acquired by PE 2 years ago.. 0 layoffs in my 4 years before PE took majority control.
Post PE: 5 layoffs. 2 this year alone. I’ve seen Partners, Directors, staff, others managers fired around me. Wondering how I’m still around. Thank you to whoever is protecting me in leadership at this firm 🙏🏽.

Working for a senior who is beyond horrible. She talks to you like you’re stupid and makes it sound like you’re absolutely terrible at what you’re doing. She’s made 5 other associates cry during her 5 year career. Got someone fired and made another person quit. It’s known around the office that she can no longer have a female associate, because she talks down to females more than she does males. I came along and thought I could deal with it but she literally makes me want to not log on tomorrow.
