My job is returning to 5 days a week in the office amidst the tech layoffs. Did we lose our bargaining power? A year ago companies were competing, offering WFH, and now with the layoffs, companies gained all the power back. I'm thinking of quitting, but all these posts about the market got me really scared. I only have about 4 years of experience.

I’ve been at my company for 10+ years. I’m not happy with the culture but have flexibility I enjoy, seniority for the time I’ve been here, and pays well. An new job opportunity came up as a Tax Manager but in a different industry which could expand my skillset in different ways, but is not as flexible and the pay is 20k lower. I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ.
