I’m waiting for my background check as I accepted an offer for Remote Licensed Insurance Customer Service Rep. While I’m a 1099 for my current role, I still haven’t told them I am leaving for a full time role that can change my life. It’s a small agency, and I’ve gotten close with the director. She’s the employment reference I gave; I’m a nervous that when they receive the call to verify employment, my days will be difficult. I’d hate to be let go before I start with LM. Thoughts? I wouldn't currently quit without something lined up. If it's really bad and you feel unsafe, quit. If you can hang for a while, start applying.
Yes. Employers have all of the leverage now.
you rather be unemployed than work from an office?
It's peanuts only if you're a rich person. You're just arguing semantics. Yes I would absolutely rather be unemployed than be forced to go to the office, but again I'm not an idiot so it's not going to happen on a whim. You do have to prepare for it if it's a personal choice. How do you know I'm not actively preparing?
