Hi Everyone !!!
This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

I doubt it. Also, trust me you don’t want that. It will make looking for your next job insanely hard. Most agencies know the deal, and if you aspire to get into one of the “famous” creative shops, they won’t have that. Take your time. The only thing your racing towards is being edged out of the industry because your book isn’t worth your salary.
Junior to acd... ya nuts
You want to jump from Jr. to ACD??? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhagagahahahahdjcjckdkfnfkdnxhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
Short answer, no. You can hope for senior, but junior to ACD is just a bridge too far. Creating ads and managing people are different skills. How can you lead others to where they need to go if you've never been there yourself?
On the bright side, this can still be a big step for your career. The amount of experience and exposure you can get from working with a higher-level partner is huge. It'll definitely get you to that title and pay faster over time. Just don't mess it up by being too impatient.
Wasn’t there a senior 🐠 last week complaining about getting stuck with a junior partner?
How common is this?
That will literally never happen on any planet. At the worst agency on any planet that will never happen.
Honestly, the fact that you think this would even be entertained by your boss is proof enough that you’re still very junior in this industry.
Frankly, the fact that you're even asking this question on here proves how unready you are to be an ACD.
Doubtful, but even if they would I would be very careful about this. You have to think ahead to your career trajectory after this agency too. Do you have the book, experience and awards to back up an acd title? If you don’t, it’s going to be difficult to get hired at another better shop should you ever wish to leave. Be honest when evaluating yourself, knowing that ACD level at the better agencies means a history of having produced award winning work and a bevy of production experience in a range of mediums.
I’ve been at agencies that handed titles out very quickly to people with not that much experience, only to have those people feel trapped afterwards bc their book/experience didn’t match market expectations of that title. Good luck and congrats on the promotion, wherever it shakes out
That's crazy they'd partner you with someone that senior. Accept your mid level promo and earn your way up like everyone else. The years of experience will come in handy once you hit ACD. I see way too many senior creatives and acds that have too big of titles for what they are capable of. And congrats.
I just got paired with someone much, much more JR than me. Consider yourself lucky they are cool and working with you. I know my ECD wants to see me get pissed he put me with someone so much younger and green but I’m not gonna give that to my ECD. It was a nepotism move from the CCO.
Hahahaha
Nothing in this business is permanent. Let him take his promotion and you take yours (to mid-level if it's offered). What happens to "the partnership" will be what it is. But 'aint nobody jumping you two levels and promoting you to ACD to save your partnership, and you'd be an ass to even ask.
Cont’d I’m aware we are years apart in experience but we’ve basically been working as Srs together. So would it make sense to just bump both of us up to the same position regardless of experience?
Yea i was surprised too. My partner is dope and we both work great together. I’ve pretty much had to take on the responsibility of lead copy even though I’m a Jr. We are doing pretty solid I think. Work has gone through with no big issues. Maybe I lack the experience to match but I don’t think I’m very far behind in terms of work. Personal opinion of course.
I don’t mind being bumped to mid but we really like working together but my partner definitely is up for an ACD spot but if they take it. It obviously means splitting us apart which we aren’t down with. So that’s why I’m thinking of bringing it up with my big dog boss.
@OP ACD / SR do the same work at most agencies so I say go eat, young blood.
Only a jr would post a question like this 😒
