Not eating for 24 hours and then suddenly eating (likely) extra food will always cause you to bloat. Your body will flux throughout the day/week/month, a woman’s cycle is 28 days on average. Hormones and many other things can impact how much water you retain, bloating, etc.
Yes there may be underlying food sensitivities as someone else said, but also many foods we eat are inflammatory. Anything processed, sugar, gluten, dairy, starchy carbs, overly salted food will all make you bloat somewhat. Eat the amount of food your body intuitively needs, work with a dietitian if you think it will help… if you have disordered eating habits you may need to work with a therapist.
Also unless you’ve had your uterus removed, it’s extremely difficult to be completely flat. Remember pictures of people you see with amazing bodies on social media are showcasing highlight real (the absolute best shots), not reality…
This is a question for your doctor. People who have bloating usually have internal symptoms (bowel issues, discomfort, etc.). When you don’t eat solids, your body also loses fluids, and that can contribute to a flatter midsection depending on your body type. My abs looked *amazing* after I did a colonoscopy prep. But that is not healthy to repeat.
Sounds like bloating issues to me. You may want to try bloating remedies like Arrae, and if you don’t fond something that works for you, consider talking to your doctor

It does sound like a bloating issue, but may be further impacted by digestion and bowel movement timing.

What are you eating? I had horrible bloat and afternoon stomach aches when I used to eat gluten. I thought this was normal till I stopped eating it.

Try cutting stuff out one by one. Gluten and dairy are common offenders.
