Talk to your manager about your promotion and exactly what steps you need to take to get there and approximately when that might be. Figure out what your next account at the agency would be before you shift to the other agency. Since it’s in the same holding co you’d probably need to disclose going to that agency to your current anyways so first figure out your trajectory at your current company
Hi there, I recommend to investigate the other agency culture and staff first. Just to make sure they are a good fit for you. If so, it would be ideal that you consider going to that other agency. They will value the account expertise that you can bring to the table and that will help you earning that promotion. You can even negotiate the promotion when interviewing for the role. You have a leg up, take advantage of it.
You more likely than not won’t have a job if you stay put. Take the parachute especially if it’s per client request.
