Need advice please!!! $105K salary for a small cpa firm (less than 10 people) vs at Big 4 at $70K with 3 YOE. MCOL. Definitely less stress in a smaller firm since no billable hours goal but most likely no career growth & less future increases. If with Big 4 I feel like it’s more beneficial long-term to put it on resume but I am leaving a lot $$$ on the table. Am I able to catch up with the salary in the next 2-3 years? Your thoughts please?

I have 4.3 YOE currently and I was offered Engr II - Full Stack position in VDSI. But after doing some research it seems Engr II is usually for YOE between 2 and 4. Is this correct? Will there be a problem for me if I take up this position with my YOE?
Since I am a lateral entry, I think promotion to Engr III also would take a lot of time.

Also can you please let me know the current designation hierarchy in VDSI?

I received a call for interview from Deloitte. However I don't have all the skills/exposure mentioned in JD. Has anyone cleared an interview with similar scenario in big 4?

Has anyone asked for a hike in the same company without any other offer in hand by letting them know that you deserve more (providing proof of work & awards)

P.S. I know everybody thinks they should receive more but just in case you really think you deserve it when compared to market standards, has anyone approached HR directly?

Management consultant evaluating an offer from Google’s Go-to-market team (Strategy & Operations) in India. Two questions:
1. Given it’s an internal consulting role, are the hours equally bad / worse than consulting firms?
2. Is it virtually impossible to move to a product ladder after spending 1-2 yrs in the role?

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)
