Meanwhile, giving hopes to a person about a job which may or may not exist?

Anyone witness slackers who got into companies you have no idea how? Had a coworker who does jack chit at work besides chatting on Facebook yet lands at a faang company? I guess if he brings the same work ethic he will be spit out for sure. Or maybe he just had no interest in doing project work.

Need some advice. During May of 2021 an operations manager and an hourly Hr employee started a relationship while the ops manager was married. Does anyone else constantly get mistaken for a nurse? I’ve been working with a founder/small biz freelancing as their digital producer for a little bit. I’m having issues lately because they won’t give me a budget for content they want to make for their site/Instagram. I’m worried with the budget gate keeping that we’re going to burn bridges with contacts, especially now that we’re dipping into my personal contacts for content collaboration. Is this normal? How do I get them to give me a budget to work from?

Am I particularly uptight, or is writing meant to be done alone, without a partner talking to you? With past partners, we chat through script notes and then I go off to execute. Current partner likes to sit and chat as I write. To me, writing is crafting a conversation. So I can’t talk to you and simultaneously talk to this audience. Of course I can just say “I’m gonna go write.” But since we’re both CD level, I’m like…is this his first rodeo? Maybe other writers are different though.

Is it common for a midlevel to gossip with a first year about another first year’s work? Is it common for midlevels to trash juniors amongst themselves? I think my office is hella toxic

How often do you respond to emails from law students who want to learn about your firm/practice area? I get like a dozen requests right around OCI every year. Frankly I’m tired of speaking to them and answering the same boring questions, especially if I know they have a low GPA and no chance of summering at my firm, but I do feel bad saying no/ignoring them
