Negotiating an offer for senior consultant EY cyber practice. Any insights on salary and sign-on bonus?

Be careful where the offer is from - Advisory or FSO. The latter only serves financial clients

Why why why

Ask for 100 and they will meet you at 90-something

Depends on what level are you coming in at senior. 90 seems fine for S1 but low for S3

90 seems to be going rates for S1. Any pointers to get sign on bonuses?

Stay at Deloitte. Better cyber practice.

I heard EY cyber practice is growing. Isn't it so?

Growing, yes. But Deloitte is more mature in every possible way. And unless you're an undergrad with 2 yr consultant experience and getting SCon here with 40% bump, don't

And I would say come. Since it is not mature like Deloitte you will have more opportunities to grow and shape the future of the practice here. You started looking for a reason, assume for more money and fulfillment. You can get that here at EY.

EY 3 - I had similar thoughts too. How's the culture though?

Collaborative and innovative. Lots of room to maneuver.

Received a job offer at a consulting firm as a data analytics consultant for $20k more than I am making now. I am torn on taking the job offer because my manager told me I was getting promoted at the end of the year to a data analyst. I am not sure what the salary range for a data analyst is at my current job. Should I take the job or wait it out to see what my end of year raise would look like? I really like my job and team so leaving would be tough, but this raise is something to consider.

Fellow fishes - need some help communicating this one. I am in industry and I have an offer from Accenture which would represent a dream career move for me, as well as a 60% increase in comp and a 20k sign on bonus. The issue is that my manager and the team I work with are just the best people and I am nervous about breaking the news to them. I have only been at this place for about a year and a half. How does I break the news to them?

MBB - I’m a current senior graduating from a top public school, and I am debating on whether to accept an offer to a masters (non mba) to an Ivy League. One of the factors into my decision is what is the propensity that the resume gets pulled for on campus mbb recruiting, given that undergrads are probably applying as well? I have big brand internships already, and my undergrad school probably scores a 2/3 for brand name. Will recruiting teams put more emphasis on your latest or 1st degree?

I'm getting ready to accept an offer at a new agency, but what I really want is to go in-house. I had 6 very positive interviews at a co. but lost out by a hair. They said they're growing & would keep me in mind for future relevant openings. Is it worth pinging that co's recruiter to let her know I'm considering a role at a new agency & ask if they expect any openings soon? Feels unlikely, but I'd hate to start a new job and then get a call from the company I actually want to work for.
