Why are you even thinking about a place that is a decrease? What are the upsides?
Would it be appropriate to ask for a 6 month review and have the opportunity at that time for a $2k raise or bonus?
I’m pretty high for my level and city and have been told by recruiters that it might be tough to keep me where I’m at. I was willing in my mind to go $2k down as that’s not a huge difference in standard of living. They ended up coming in exactly $2k lower, after I negotiated it up. I’m currently freelancing so do need a job, it’d be four brands that I’d manage on a new type of business (cpg) and I’d have three account people under me. So excited about growth and leadership opportunities not being offered other places
Ask for additional PTO, flexible working or WFH,
1 - 3% on incremental business that you bring in. Reimbursement for cell phone, transit, gym, etc
Vacation time. Other perks
