I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

Is it a good decision to join this profile? What would be the day-to-day work of a manager be like?

So I have just joined an MNC as a .Net+ AngularJS developer with 6YOE few weeks back and it seems they are putting me in a support role and the stack is based on VB whereas I come from C# background and also the frontend too is probably just old .net web forms.

It seems like I have been manipulated which isn't really unexpected but I am specifically worried about my future and growth prospects and how it will affect my profile due to the VB thing.

I’ve 3 offers and want to decline 2 of them due to one or more of the below reasons.

What’s the best and polite way to decline an offer letter ?
1. I’ve got better package from another company.
2. The position offer is better in another company.
3. Another company is better and bigger then their company.
4. I’m expecting better work in another company.

KPMG has only mentioned the fixed part of salary in the offer letter. Somehow the recruiter said the % variable part wouldn’t be mentioned in it. While on call she said the variable can go upto as high as 20% of fixed but usually above 10% for an average rating. So would it be right for me to say the CTC is Fixed + 20% fixed without being explicitly said in the offer letter?
