It’s going to be hard to give up control of the stuff you know you’re good at and can do better than those under you. Be prepared to delegate and pass your knowledge down so they too can grow and you can take on bigger challenges.
Hardest part for me.
The decisions on the account are yours now, so act accordingly. If you don’t like the way creative gets presented or you think there are inefficiencies in the process, it’s yours to change.
Always have a game plan. Know your account strategy and communicate it - down, up, and across.
Work with a degree of pride and passion - as if you’re an owner of the agency - and the rest will flow from there. Figure a way to get to a point where you’re constantly supporting those on your team rather than directing them.
Unrelated to your question- I know timeline varies by person but would love to know your time spent at each title.
