New Global Accenture PE strategy team; essentially looks like Accenture is trying to move upstream to the pre deal project pitching.

Speaking from past experience at ACN, strategic growth initiatives and teams you can help build like that can get great visibility and exit opps. I’d expect this to still be tech focused to some extent, but maybe not.
In general, Accenture is slowly becoming a much more competitive firm than 5-10 years ago. Julie tends to be right about a lot of her pet projects. Will it ever be mbb? Probably not. But the company is pretty far away now from its system integrator days.
Short answer is no. builds on top of overtime
It’s a Julie Sweet pet project. She’ll lose interest in 2 years and someone on ELT will pull the plug.
Could you elaborate on the ELT part? Has she historically been pulling projects after a couple of years?
Interested as well, but I haven't heard good things about that group from folks in the M&A group there in the past

I left Accenture US earlier this year before they started the PE practice but know a few people in it. I would say that this is probably still very much a proof of concept, we barely sold any pre-deal PE work (or even post-deal) prior to this beyond confirmatory ITDDs for synergies and I doubt it will move the needle much. Plenty of top firms already doing work in this space. What does can a new entrant like Accenture offer? I think the only thing Accenture can actually do is sell work for cheap. That’s how we always do things but that results in people getting paid low
We are already at pre deal for target identification (hostile or friendly), talent & organization and deal economics, have been for over a decade and within that space we have about 8% of the overall market usually with the investment banks or PE firms as we have better analytic capabilities, we are trying to move into the rest pre merger.
Post merger Op Model, T&O etc we have 14% global market share and it’s growing fast. Again it’s about size and analytics capability as we are 4-5X larger than any other consulting firm, remember we don’t have tax & audit.
We are able to invest an develop things at a different scale
As you wish hit 20 years in this practice at this point
