I am a guarantor in one of my friends loan against property. It's been 5 years. I want to get out from that loan. He has not been paying EMI on time(now he is paying on time for last 10 months) due to which my cibil score is impacted. Whenever I take loan I have to explain about that loan.

Please help me what is the process to get out from the guarantor role. Do I need to consult any lawyer.
