Don't you think 3 years is a long time? It's also the type of work I am interested in. I haven't talked to them about the benefits .
It's a smaller form. RE Acquisitions.
Ask about PTO and try to get an extra 5 days. Also, 401k match and health insurance-make sure you're not taking the pay cut in another part of your comp. Not every firm has the comprehensive coverage D does.
If I had an offer for something I was interested in I wouldn't hesitate to leave at 75
Hours will be intense, but you are rewarded nicely for your work; hence the large bonus. I'll be traveling at least twice a month to visit potential Acquisitions and perform an analysis .
Take it! You could be into the 90's with that bonus. Great opportunity!
OP, I don't think of 3 years as a long time. Granted, I am on year 8 with my firm. Long term decisions should be made by assessing long term information. When you compare options, don't just compare Job A's current salary with Job B's current salary. But hey, sounds like a good gig. I don't mean to discourage you, just offering considerations.
KPMG 1, I appreciate the feedback. Exactly what I was looking for. Do you know anyone that did something similar and it was a bad move?
Which firm
You should ask about upward mobility. $75k is a huge jump over A2, but you are realistically only about 3 years away from making that if you stay where you are.
Yes to the question about upward mobility. Also, ask what the minimum bonus is. Sometimes they are telling you a ridiculous max range and it's more likely going to be 2-5%.
Re acquisitions is very interesting stuff. I would take it.
Sounds sweet! You can always come back
What will your hours be like, any particular busy times, health care options, who's the team (and will you be supervising anyone), are you in the office or at a different site, etc.
$14-21k bonus at year-end ? 🙄
