Yes, what’s that quote about the leopard not eating your face until it happens?
Eventually he/she will show you their true colors towards you.
Former consultant here, so I'm usually in lurk-mode.
Yes for the obvious reason that this person has shown the capacity to do evil, which could be seen as a warning that they have the capacity to do the same to you.
But also yes because you do not want to normalize that fraudulent behavior. Get too comfortable with people like this and you very well may find yourself coming up with reasons for bad things you'll eventually do.
It sure is tough to walk away from piles of money, but it'll open you up to other more wholesome opportunities.
I would be cautious. You haven't provided much info about the specific situation. If your conscience is alerting you to a large red flag, pay attention. Gather up any info you need and either go to him directly, or go to the police.
Uhm is he hiring?! lol

I’m sorry that you are experiencing this situation but as Christians we have been given discernment and the word of God on how to navigate these situations.
Here are some scriptures for encouragement:
2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
Proverbs 13:20
Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.
A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul,
but fools detest turning from evil.
Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
Proverbs 1:1
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.
Always pray for guidance:
James 1:5-6
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.,
If you know for certain he's committing fraud, then there are victims. If you know what is happening, you have a duty to report that to the authorities. You certainly do not want to be complicit if people are being defrauded.
Ooof that is really tough. I think that all depends on how much you value your integrity. If you value your integrity then I would find something else. I also wouldn't want to be tied to any of the faudulent activity.
Absolutely. You could try talking to your client first. If they respect you they make correct their behavior. If they reject that kindness, divest yourself of them. Standards. Ethics. Protecting your hard-earned trust and reputation.
