Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

PI. It all sucks
Do you not like doing it remotely or just PI in general?
Insurance Defense. No complaints or issues based on our setup. I’ve got a full office at my house and a pretty big computer screen to avoid needing multiple monitors. The firm has legal assistants who work hybrid so we’re still able to mail/fax etc through them. Only go in for certain meetings or trial prep which isn’t very often. Love it. Esp because I’m the type of person who gets way more done at home because nobody can bother me unless I let them lol
Immigration - amazing
ID and it’s amazing. I could never imagine going back into the office. I get so much more done working remote

Family Law. Ever since covid. I love it!
I did family/matrimonial law for about 3 years remote. Love it! Missed the office setting, but now that I’m at an office, I miss working from home.
