LOL if you actually do! It only works as a negotiation tactic if the offer you're "considering" is matchable. If the immediate response isn't "we'll match," then you're cornering yourself into the hardball strategy of walking out. You could also accept the starting compensation and negotiate additional compensation based on performance.

On the other hand, an old ops principle is to never give more than 20% of your business to a single supplier. Very few companies have the resources, desire, or acumen to fairly compensate their employees. If you can swing more than one job, then work more than one job. That way, if one company is underpaying, you can look to drop that "supplier" and further invest in other employers.

Maybe keep your mouth shut about the other offers and find a way to accept them all 🤫

P.S. Companies actively recruit to replace underperforming employees WHILE THE EMPLOYEES KEEP WORKING. Seriously, level the playing field. Source companies and replace the underperforming ones.

Hi guys, After CAF completion by last week, yesterday I received a call from the HR for the second round of evaluation. So, I attended it yesterday and performed well by answering 90-95% of the questions. Even the interviewer gave good comments on my performance. But suddenly today I received an email that my candidature isn't suitable for the role and they're keeping my profile in the database. Does this mean they'll call me if there are openings with some other project?

I received a verbal offer for a VP position at CCB line of business at JPMC in NYC two weeks ago. The recruiter asked for salary expectations but there was no number set. Has anyone had similar experience?

I can’t tell if this is due to covid, the market, the fact that I don’t have any in-house experience, the fact that I live out of state, or something else entirely. Any insights??

I might get roasted for asking such a basic question but - how much do you budget for eating out ($ amount or % of budget)?

Pre pandemic I was traveling 5 days a week and just used left over per diem on the one night I went out with friends at home. During covid I stayed home. Now that I’m fully vaccinated and are many of my friends they want to go out to eat/drink. During covid I moved from a LCOL to here so I’m experiencing delayed sticker shock at the prices. Any tips?
