Lol Americans are talking about police as "blue lives" which is ridiculous because being a police officer is not your life. You can take that off or quit at anytime
"Blue Lives Matter" only exists as a retort. As a retort, it literally only exists to counter the concept that Black Lives Matter, which implies that *black lives don't matter* or that *blue lives matter more*. Both interpretations of that concept are rooted in racist ideals.
Same goes for all lives matter.
There’s also a small group native to the Las Vegas area that are commonly referred to as “Blue Man.”
i just blue myself

No worries! Racial terms are really different everywhere. It’s great that you’re trying to learn :)
Blue refers to the blue uniforms that police wear.
Good! Im sorry I was a little upset at the time, you are clearly just trying to help
Sometimes blue can also refer to political orientation as in red or blue. Red being republican / conservative, blue being Democrat/liberal.
Brown can be a huge host of people: South Asia, Arab, Hispanic etc. basically not black/African American, but not not white. sometimes native Americans are also called Brown, however that’s usually a because someone is looking at them, and judging them based on their skin color. Native Americans are usually just referred to as Native Americans (or in a derogatory way, Indians) when talking about them as a group of people.

Thanks for clarifying :)

Great question, we’re a bit of a mess right now if you haven’t noticed.
Depending on who you ask, I think the term brown may also apply to Southeast Asians, South Asians, and people from the Middle East. Generally for Latino/Hispanic people, most identify as brown even when some aren’t necessarily “brown”
For sure. I think that the white vs brown identity is also different for US born Latinos. I think the term “white” has now been defined to be White American. Ultimately everyone can identify however they’d like to
“Blue” lives are cops, called so because police uniforms in the US are typically navy blue. Black and brown refers to black people are well as various types of brown people, those of Hispanic descent, Middle Eastern, South Asian and so on.
