Promotion from C to SC during a milestone year is virtually automatic. True or false?

Recently promoted to L5 in Strategy & Ops at Google. Feels like a good time to take stock of my career. I don't think I want to pursue a longer career in StratOps, but would like to stay in Google for the foreseeable future. I like the sound of PM roles (but aware it can be hard to transition / secure a role with limited PM experience). Any advice / opinions / warnings from ex StratOps folks OR folks who work with ex StratOps folks in new roles, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I’m a new CSM (9 months) and I work at a company that doesn’t invest much in its CSM team. I’ve been struggling because as time goes on I feel more and more like a token hire. We have no play book/structure, no CSM tool and I’m current organizing all 95 of my clients on spreadsheets while also handling presales trials with a salary under 50k.

Immigrant here. How do you guys stay motivated to keep working? It was easy enough when I was broke/in debt to grind and work really hard. For context, I am a 27 year old only child and my parents just told me they made a significant amout of money through their investments and that all of this money will be mine. Granted it isnt enough to buy lamborghinis and mansions, however it is enough to live out a normal middle class life without ever having to work, especially if invested in real estate
