Anything is better than CRI.
I’m aware. I’m also not at Big 4 so I don’t know why you’re thinking I said anything about Big 4. Best of luck to you.

Been doing this since July. For the most part, I wouldn’t treat it any differently than what you would look for in a non-remote position.
The main difference is just not seeing people in person. For staff, it makes training them a little more difficult but you can still do it if you make time for it. For clients and partners, I communicate with them everyday and still manage the projects, just as I was doing at my last firm in person.
You have to be more intentional about talking to people on your team when you’re remote. You also have to be OK with not seeing people in person. I’m very introvert so remote works just fine for me, and I’ve been really happy in my position thus far because of the culture at our firm.

Also interested in this. I always find LinkedIn cold calls to be a little sketch and assume it’s for jobs nobody wants lol
Best thing I’ve done. Been working remotely for over 2 years. I’m also a complete introvert so I’m okay without the socializing aspect.
As far as cons, you do need to discipline yourself and establish boundaries between work and personal. Else it all blends together.
Pretty good so far. Wages aren’t drastically different than what you would get making a regular move.
I think you need to know that culture of the organization and whether they are going to make a significant change in the future.
Also, as the owner of a large SUV, it’s nice to not have to worry about gas prices.
Thanks for the reply. I talked to a recruiter last fall and the pay was not that much higher than my current salary. But you’re right about gas being a savings and for me having more time with family is a plus.
As a manager how much client contact are you responsible for? Just curious how that works.
Any noticeable difference in your day to day role from what was told to you during the interview process vs how it is now that you work there?
We’ve placed lots of people in remote roles with firms in CA. Great firms, local, regional and National. Salaries are every bit the same as if you lived in LA or The Bay.
Can I ask what those salary ranges are?
